Intlawyers joins special rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures in calling for icj advisory opinion.


International-Lawyers.Org (INTLAWYERS) joined the Human Rights Council’s Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of the  unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights, Mr. Idriss Jazairy, in calling for the General Assembly to request an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on the legality of unilateral coercive measures.

INTLAWYERS also expressed its support for the call of the UN’s independent expert on the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order, Mr. Alfred de Zayas, for the review of multilateral trade and investment agreements to ensure their consistency with applicable international human rights law.
